Attached is a comparison of Doppler-Time plots produced by my Fortran95 version of read_data_doppler.m. The data is processed in blocks of 16384 samples (approx 0.3 seconds) so I can use the Fast Fourier Transform. I've also tried data blocks of 8192 samples with similar results.

I've re-orientated my plots so that time is along the X axis and Doppler along the Y axis as this seemed (to me at least) more conventional.

The plots for the first data set contain very prominent lines at certain times - presumably this is interference caused by wi-fi devices looking for a vacant channel?

A free, fully featured compiler for Fortran95 can be downloaded for personal use from
http://www.silverfrost.com/32/ftn95/ftn95_personal_edition.aspx.

It includes .wav file support and Windows graphics. It certainly runs under Windows XP and 7 but I haven't tried it under 8 yet. There is also very good documentation avaiable for download.

This is awesome! I was hoping someone would write the processing code in Fortran sooner or later.

Yes, wi-fi interference does occur and it will look like that. No worries.

Look forward to seeing how your ranging experiments go!
