Howdy everyone! Glad to be a part of the forum. I recently had a question for Dr. Charvat about why the IFFT was used instead of the FFT in Doppler processing and wanted to share the response here:

There is no good reason why i was taking the IFFT rather than the FFT for the doppler script.

For ranging there is a reason, analog data from the coffee can radar in ranging mode is the spatial frequency response of the target scene, so naturally you would want to take the IFFT to get it into time domain.
